Applicable to: Users who save Prompts in TrueFoundry with MCP servers configured within them. If you do not save MCP server references inside your prompts, this change does not affect you.

What Is Changing

We are deprecating support for adding MCP servers directly within prompts. This capability will be removed in an upcoming release and is a breaking change. Once support is removed, any prompts that include mcp_servers will stop working as expected.

What You Need to Do

1

Audit existing prompts

Review all current prompts for MCP server dependencies (mcp_servers field).
2

Create updated prompts

Recreate affected prompts without mcp_servers.
3

Validate your workflows

Test the updated prompts to ensure your workflows continue to function correctly.

Using MCP Servers with Agents

If you still need MCP server functionality in your workflows, you can use Agents instead. Navigate to the Agents tab on the left sidebar and attach MCP servers directly to an agent configuration.
1
