# Migrate to Microsoft Foundry

> Move an Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry account to the Microsoft Foundry integration in TrueFoundry.

Microsoft Foundry replaces the Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry integrations. It is generally available in **TrueFoundry v0.175.0**. Migrating keeps the provider account and moves it onto the Microsoft Foundry integration, so you do not create a second account and re-add every deployment by hand.

## Hub and hub-based resources

A hub or hub-based project cannot be migrated. The Microsoft Foundry integration does not support these resources.

## Azure AI Foundry resources

This path is for an Azure AI Foundry account whose Azure resource is a Foundry resource, not a hub.

    In the Azure Portal, open the list of resources and click on the resource of type **Foundry**. Then, click on **Overview**.

  <Step title="Turn on new Foundry">
    Turn on the **new Foundry** toggle on the top panel of the screen.

  <Step title="Add a project name">
    Enter a project name if you want one. This step is optional.

    Click on **Create**. It is now a project usable on the Microsoft Foundry provider account.

## Azure OpenAI resources

    In the Azure Portal, open the list of resources and click on the resource of type **Azure OpenAI**. Then, click on the option to open it in the Azure OpenAI portal.

  <Step title="Start the upgrade">
    Click on **Home**, and then click **Get Started** in the banner at the top of the page.

  <Step title="Follow the steps">
    Complete the steps in the upgrade flow. When it finishes, the account is a Microsoft Foundry account.

Requests keep using the same Gateway model IDs. Add the project endpoint on the account if you want deployment discovery or non-OpenAI models such as Claude. See [Set up Microsoft Foundry](/docs/ai-gateway/microsoft-foundry).
