# Set up Ramp MCP Server

> Grant Ramp MCP access and connect Ramp spend management tools to TrueFoundry.

Ramp's MCP server gives agents access to spend data, transactions, vendors, approvals, reimbursements, cards, and trips. Ramp admins control which employees can connect to MCP.

## Prerequisites

* A TrueFoundry account with permission to add MCP servers.
* A Ramp admin who can manage MCP access.
* Ramp logins for each user.

## Grant Access in Ramp

In Ramp, open **Company** > **Integrations** > **Ramp MCP** and click **Manage Access**. Grant access by role, department, or specific user. Ramp MCP access does not expand a user's normal Ramp permissions.

## Register in TrueFoundry

Add the Ramp MCP server as a remote OAuth2 MCP server in **MCP Gateway** using the server URL provided by Ramp. Add collaborators and save. Users should open the server's **Tools** section and click **Connect Now**; after OAuth succeeds, Ramp tools appear and can be tried from the **Agent Playground**.

## Security Notes

Each user acts with their own Ramp identity. Read-only sessions and read-write sessions can have different expiration windows, so users may need to reauthorize. Expose write and approval tools only to teams that are allowed to take financial actions in Ramp.
